Jacob and Heaven

I just wanted to share how good and faithful our God is....I pray for my boys that God would use them for His glory and that they would be men after God's own heart. When you have two children who are on the autism spectrum some times it is hard to know if they really understand about Jesus...and if they get the basics then we are doing good. God really showed me that He is listening to the prayers of this mommy's heart...and that He is using them for His glory. I was away on a women's retreat called the Emmaus walk this last weekend so Tim and the boys were batching (?) it. Tim was in the kitchen making pizza and our  Asperger's autistic 6 yrs old Jacob was helping him. Jacob asked Tim if there would be pizza in Heaven. Tim replied "I don't know Jacob but if there is it will be delicious!" Jacob: "Well I think there will be pizza and chocolate pudding...and John Allen (older brother who is allergic to chocolate) will be able to eat the chocolate pudding and he will have two eyes!! I will have balance because I have problems with my balance you know!!" To those of you that don't know...my oldest son John Allen only has one eye and for our Jacob to be able to understand the perfectness of Heaven astounded Tim and I!! How faithful is our God to reassure parents who are faithful to pray for their children. I want to encourage parents with special needs kids...parents who don't or do pray for their children...God honors those prayers and be encouraged to pray for your children daily. In our world today they need the protection of loving PRAYING parents who will commit them to the Lord on a daily basis. God does answer prayer...look how he answered ours!!
